pPerhaps where you’re at now is draining you of the energy you need to get through. If you’re in a desperate place like that, we’re praying you’ll know God’s arm around you even when you can’t see light at the end of the tunnel.br /
Head to John 6, where Jesus and His disciples are faced with a crowd of five thousand. A five-thousandth of five loaves and two fish isn’t exactly the menu anyone in that crowd was hoping for. The disciple Andrew’s response reflects exactly how we can feel when we look down at the tiny amount of supplies we have. In verse nine he says, ‘What good is that with this huge crowd?’ (NLT). Who can blame him? It’s natural (‘What use is anything with this huge task/huge dream/huge problem’ everyone under pressure, ever). But that’s it, *natural*. To look at your situation through God’s eyes is to rely on His long history of supernatural faithfulness. The Bible’s full of unchangeable situations. Imagine how the early Church felt about Saul, the most deadly, violent opponent of Christians back in early-AD. No one’d be blamed for thinking Saul would never turn to Jesus; he wanted God’s people chained up (Acts 9:2). A few verses later, he’s with the disciples serving Jesus. Yeah. God wants to show us how He can, and will, blow the natural, pessimistic responses we have, out of the water./p

Given up on something you kind of hoped might work out recently? Pray, then take another look at it. Maybe God’ll confirm you should leave it. Maybe He wants you to give it one more shot. See what happens./p
