Are you looking to make a difference and help transform lives through the power of God’s Word? UCB’s upbeat PR + Marketing Team are looking for someone who loves digital marketing to take on the role of Website and Digital Coordinator. You’ll be responsible for managing a new bespoke website on the latest Drupal technology, and you’ll work as part of the team to develop exciting new digital marketing strategies across UCB’s platforms (web, email, social media, print, and more).

We're looking for someone with excellent graphic design skills and a real ‘knack’ for staying up-to-date with the best digital marketing tips to enhance the user experience. Working closely with the larger team on multiple projects, you’ll be approachable and willing to help with tasks that go beyond your regular website management duties to maximise UCB’s online reach. Two years in the digital marketing sector is a must (with emphasis on understanding SEO and Google EAT), and you’ll have a positive, ‘can-do’ attitude, sharing UCB’s passion for seeing lives changed with the love of Jesus!

Above all, you’ll be passionate about UCB’s mission and will enjoy the challenge of working in a fun, fast-paced Media environment, where no two days are ever the same. 

This position will be based at our Broadcast Centre in Hanchurch, Stoke-on-Trent ST4 8RY. Remote working (with regular travel to the Broadcast Centre) will be considered.

Do you love reporting on news?  Are you a good newsreader? Have you got what it takes to work in a radio newsroom?

United Christian Broadcasters are currently looking for the right person to join the UCB News team as a full-time Broadcast Journalist based in their newsroom at the UCB Broadcast Centre close to Junction 15 of the M6 near Stoke-on-Trent.

As a committed Christian, if you are passionate about reporting on news and can present a news bulletin to a loyal, family-focused radio audience - you could be a perfect fit.

You’ll be compiling and reading regular bulletins of national and international news - including stories with a Christian dimension - as well as recording news interviews and packages and, when required, preparing and delivering news two-ways with programme presenters.

As part of the UCB News team, you’ll need to write and speak well and be able to source and provide news bulletins and news interviews for UCB’s national radio stations, UCB1 and UCB2.

  • a genuine passion for news and current affairs
  • some practical journalism experience
  • an understanding of broadcasting law
  • a good voice for radio

  • able to work different shifts (between early morning and early evening) according to the UCB News team rota
  • Able to work Monday to Friday with some weekend working, as required
  • able to provide appropriate references from current/recent employer and church
  • your own personal transport to get to/from work in the UCB newsroom
  • available for interview on the morning of Thursday 30th September 2021 at the UCB Broadcast Centre

UCB is looking for an enthusiastic volunteer to help with the administration of our Health and Safety systems across both of our sites in Burslem and Hanchurch, as well as assisting with routine H&S checks and tests.

The ideal volunteer must be well organised, able to use their initiative and work accurately. Good communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential and you should be confident in the use of a computer. Any necessary training to fulfil the role will be given. You must have a full driving licence as our site at Hanchurch is not serviced by regular public transport.

Volunteer - Company Wide Positions
 
United Christian Broadcasters has some exciting opportunities for enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about UCB and the work that we do. If you have a few hours to spare each week and want to get involved in helping advance God's Kingdom then we want to hear from you!

We currently have volunteer positions at both our Operations Centre in Burslem and Broadcasting Centre in Hanchurch. Our departments are diverse and require a range of people with different skills and abilities; you could be involved in tasks such as booking guests for a radio show, researching content for one of our publications, helping keep our buildings clean or packing material to be sent out to supporters.

We are looking for reliable volunteers who can contribute to the work of the ministry. If you have good communication skills, are well organised, reliable and can work independently or as a team player then come and get involved! Some roles will require volunteers who are computer literate or have good administration skills; whatever your abilities we would love to hear from you.
