UCB’s Broadcast Centre has a lively and busy ‘front-of-house’ Reception desk. Our receptionist takes calls, answers queries, greets guests and assists with other administrative jobs, such as looking after the post and responding to listener’s emails and texts. It’s a busy and rewarding role and we’re looking to build up a bank of casual receptionists, who can be called on at short notice, to cover holiday or sickness cover. The ideal candidate will have a flexible schedule and will be able to work at very short notice. If you’re a natural ‘people person’ and can easily multi-task in a busy environment, this could be the ideal flexible role for you. If selected, we will add you to our roster of staff who can be called on, when needed.

Volunteer Social Media Videographer

Got a passion for video and photography? If you’re into recording every moment, coming up with clever ways to capture an atmosphere and love nothing more than perfecting the best edit, this could be the role for you.

The UCB Social Media team have a full time opening, for a Volunteer Videographer. The Social Media team works to produce, share and respond to great content. We’re all about conversation, so if you love a good natter (tea is provided free in the office too) then you could be the one we’re looking for.

You’ll need to be able to shoot, edit and produce content for lots of different social media platforms. Whether it’s a behind the scenes video on one of our TV shoots, or a quick in-the-moment video of an artist at our Stoke-On-Trent studios, you’ll be put to work on a variety of projects. This role will be based at our Hanchurch site, but you’ll need to be up for travelling to wherever the action is – this could be on location with our TV team, at an event or even at an outside broadcast for our radio stations. You’ll take part in our creative meetings (and, not to boast, but sometimes they involve doughnuts) and you’ll learn how to produce compelling content for corporate social media streams. If you’re organised, ready to learn and have some creative flair, then we want to hear from you.

This voluntary placement would be ideal for a recent graduate in a media, photography or relevant qualification, or as a year out before embarking on further training or education. Click here for more information

For those living outside of the Stoke-on-Trent area, accommodation may be available.
