OneHope helps children engage with God’s Story. Together with churches and ministries, we present the Gospel message to children and youth in a way they can understand. This life-changing Scripture message delivers purpose and hope to kids.
It began with a single Book of Hope in 1987. And in the past thirty years, has evolved into more than a dozen different mediums such as film, storytelling, and mobile apps. OneHope partners with tens of thousands of local churches around the world so that children and youth can engage with Scripture and the Church can disciple the next generation. Today, more than one billion children and youth have received a relevant presentation of God’s Word from local churches through the international ministry of One Hope.
Here, the founder of One Hope, Bob Hoskins shares his remarkable story of how the vision for OneHope first began.
OneHope in the UK
Here in the UK, prior to becoming CEO of UCB in the UK, David L’Herroux was the Executive Director of OneHope in the UK seeking to reach children and youth through scriptural engagement. It was in 2007 and after many months of prayer and seeking God, that United Christian Broadcasters (UCB) and OneHope developed a strategic alliance resulting in OneHope UK being integrated within United Christian Broadcasters (UCB). We believe this was not just a ‘good idea’ but a God idea, which means that since the start of OneHope UK in 1997, over 8 million Books of Hope have been distributed to children and young people across the UK. Today, the Book of Hope is mainly distributed through the Bag of Hope (at Halloween and at other key periods throughout the year) and we continually work closely with OneHope International to promote digital products such as the Bible App for Kids and other digital resources which are available.
