Who is Jesus?

Are you wondering how to become a Christian? At some point in our lives, most of us will have attended a church wedding, a christening, or a funeral. You might have hummed along to hymns or heard a Bible reading, and it's likely you’ll have heard the name of Jesus mentioned. But who is Jesus? Why is a man who lived over 2000 years ago relevant right now? And can saying ‘yes’ to a relationship with Jesus make any kind of difference in your life?

The Bible says that Jesus is the Son of God, and that if we get to know him and invite him to be part of our lives, he gives us a brand new start and hope for a brighter (eternal) future.

The world around us is broken. There are wars and global conflicts, and even on a personal level, we all often struggle to do the right thing. The Bible calls this brokenness ‘sin’ – the Bible also says that it was never meant to be this way. And that’s why God sent Jesus (his Son) to die and ultimately ‘pay the price’ for all the brokenness in the world.

The death of Jesus was a free gift to the world, and today, when we accept this gift and become a Christian, we are not only forgiven, but we’re also given peace, hope, and the knowledge that this world isn’t all there is… because there’s a future which stretches into eternity!

Wondering how to become a Christian?

Wherever you are on this journey right now, whether you’re just exploring or you’re ready to become a Christian today, this page has been created with you in mind. Perhaps today is the day you say yes to knowing Jesus more personally.

Becoming a Christian is simple.

You have a past
You need a friend
3) He holds the future. In God’s hands, you’re safe and secure – today, tomorrow, and for eternity.

If you’d like to invite Jesus into your life today, you can pray this prayer:

Lord Jesus Christ,
I am sorry for the things I have done wrong in my life. I ask for Your forgiveness. Thank You for dying on the cross for me to set me free from my sins. Please come into my life and fill me with Your Holy Spirit and be with me forever. Thank You, Lord Jesus. Amen.

So what now?

So you’ve just said ‘yes’ and committed your life to Jesus. It’s amazing that you’ve made such a great, life-changing decision! But you might be wondering what to do next?
