Follow this brand new UCB radio podcast series, recorded in six countries, to discover what the unstoppable growth of the first-century Church teaches us in the twenty-first century.

Bible teacher and church pastor Mike Beaumont travels with David Taviner (UCB’s Director of Broadcasting) from Jerusalem to Rome and beyond to track the amazing account of the early Church in the Bible book of Acts.

How did a bunch of nervous and unsure Jesus followers become a powerhouse movement that spread across the first-century known world? And what can we learn from their example for today?

Despite both external challenges – opposition, persecution, hardships and martyrdom – and internal pressures – practical disputes, theological disagreements, personality cults, and embracing the culture’s values – nothing could stop the early Church from growing. It grew because Jesus had made a promise: ‘You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth’ (Acts 1:8 NIV). So, filled with the Holy Spirit, the first Christians did exactly that.

Recorded on location in Israel, Cyprus, Turkey, Greece, Malta, and Italy - Mike and David set the scene in every location and then unpack the story’s meaning and implication for today – for individuals and churches, culminating with the encouragements and challenges to the seven churches of Revelation at the end of the first century.

If you want to be part of the twenty-first century’s unstoppable Church, this series is not to be missed!
