If you can take a page of words and turn it into an eye-catching, striking piece of artwork, you could be the person we’re looking for.  UCB’s graphic designer will create design for a variety of different audiences and platforms - everything from devotionals to digital – and will be a person who understands that great images, accompanied with great copy, can be a force for healing in a person’s life. 

You’ll have experience in designing across multiple different formats, including web, print ready files, digital design, publications and typesetting and have knowledge of print production and a working knowledge of print requirements (colour formatting, export settings and publication setup).  Above it all, you’ll be passionate about UCB’s mission (or willing to develop the passion) and will enjoy the challenge of working in a fun, fast-paced Media environment, where no two days are ever the same. 

This position will be based at our Broadcast Centre in Hanchurch, Stoke-on-Trent

Do you have a passion for fundraising? Would you like to work in the dynamic, fast-paced world of Christian media, and see the impact of your work through reaching and changing thousands of lives through God’s Word?

UCB is looking for a new Strategic Partnerships and Trusts Support, to work jointly on our established major donor fundraising programme, and to help scale up our work with charitable trusts.

If you are excited about sharing a God-given vision, and inviting individuals and trusts to be part of it through financial support, this could be the role for you!

UCB is looking for a proactive organiser, with strong written and verbal communications skills, excellent administration skills and a good understanding of fundraising, ideally from major donors and charitable trusts. You should also have great project management skills and a keen eye for detail. Some experience of inputting to CRM databases such as Raisers Edge would also be an advantage.

The role involves co-ordinating activities for both programmes, including writing and talking to major donors, gift processing and management, compiling regular reports, putting together bespoke events and undertaking trusts research.

Head of Legacy & Church Engagement – 14 Month Maternity Cover

UCB has an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to deliver two key strategies - the charity’s Legacy Strategy and the Church Engagement Strategy - which will contribute towards the overall plan of substantially increasing funding.  This is an exciting opportunity to strengthen the growth of UCB’s fundraising.

As this is a senior strategic role, UCB is looking for someone with considerable experience in delivering fundraising campaigns, who has excellent project management skills and is able to steward relationships with supporters. 

The post holder will also lead a small administration team, which is responsible for the stewardship of legacy pledges and administration of bequests, as well as providing administrative support for church engagement events and initiatives.  The ideal candidate will, therefore, have a proven track record in building successful stewardship administration campaigns and communicating confidently, sensitively and sympathetically, plus excellent event co-ordination skills.

UCB delivers a message of hope through Jesus; if you share that hope and can communicate the importance of that hope to supporters, you may be the person we are looking for.

Initial interviews will be held on Monday 24th August via Zoom. Second interviews will be held onsite on Tuesday 25th August.

This is a 14 month Fixed Term Contract to cover maternity leave.

Receptionists (Casual basis only)

UCB’s Broadcast Centre has a lively and busy ‘front-of-house’ Reception desk. Our receptionist takes calls, answers queries, greets guests and assists with other administrative jobs, such as looking after the post and responding to listener’s emails and texts. It’s a busy and rewarding role and we’re looking to build up a bank of casual receptionists, who can be called on at short notice, to cover holiday or sickness cover. The ideal candidate will have a flexible schedule and will be able to work at very short notice. If you’re a natural ‘people person’ and can easily multi-task in a busy environment, this could be the ideal flexible role for you. If selected, we will add you to our roster of staff who can be called on, when needed.

Want to meet new people and visit local churches in your area?  We might have the perfect volunteer position for you!  The UCB Church Engagement Team is looking for friendly and outgoing individuals, who can accompany UCB Ambassadors to speaking events in different regions across the UK and offer them support.  

Your responsibilities will include attending the event with one of our Ambassadors, setting up and running a UCB stand and helping to introduce UCB to lots of new people. 

The ideal volunteers will be people who are happy to offer their time at occasional weekend events (usually within reasonable travelling distance of their home), have access to a car and enjoy the challenge of chatting to new people.  As you’ll be setting up a UCB stand you will need to be reasonably fit and active. You may also be asked to pray for people, therefore it's a requirement that Church Engagement volunteers are committed Christians in good standing with a local church.  You'll be fully trained and supported, with resources provided.

UCB is looking for an enthusiastic volunteer to help with the administration of our Health and Safety systems across both of our sites in Burslem and Hanchurch, as well as assisting with routine H&S checks and tests.

The ideal volunteer must be well organised, able to use their initiative and work accurately. Good communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential and you should be confident in the use of a computer. Any necessary training to fulfil the role will be given. You must have a full driving licence as our site at Hanchurch is not serviced by regular public transport.

Volunteer - Company Wide Positions
 
United Christian Broadcasters has some exciting opportunities for enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about UCB and the work that we do. If you have a few hours to spare each week and want to get involved in helping advance God's Kingdom then we want to hear from you!

We currently have volunteer positions at both our Operations Centre in Burslem and Broadcasting Centre in Hanchurch. Our departments are diverse and require a range of people with different skills and abilities; you could be involved in tasks such as booking guests for a radio show, researching content for one of our publications, helping keep our buildings clean or packing material to be sent out to supporters.

We are looking for reliable volunteers who can contribute to the work of the ministry. If you have good communication skills, are well organised, reliable and can work independently or as a team player then come and get involved! Some roles will require volunteers who are computer literate or have good administration skills; whatever your abilities we would love to hear from you.
