Frequently Asked Questions

What is UCB?

United Christian Broadcasters (UCB) is a leading Christian media charity which produces radio, TV and publications. Our mission is to offer every person, in every place, every moment of the day, the opportunity to hear, watch or read the Word of God in a relevant and engaging way.

Why can't I get UCB Radio or TV on Sky and Virgin Media?

From July 2015, UCB Radio and TV stopped being available through Sky and Virgin Media services. We found that more people were watching and listening to our stations through PCs and mobile devices, so we invested in UCB Player - a new service that allows people to watch and listen to all of UCB's content, on-demand. UCB Player gives us new opportunities to reach many more people allows us to offer features that were not possible via satellite and cable.

How can I listen to UCB 1 or UCB 2?

You can tune in to UCB Radio on your PC or mobile devices through UCB Player, or hear UCB 1 and UCB 2 nationally on DAB radio. To find out if you can receive DAB in your area, go to (postcode checker page)

Are you funded by the licence fee?

UCB is not funded by the TV Licence fee. We are a charity and we are 100% supporter-funded. If you are able to support UCB's work you can donate online.

Can I advertise on radio and TV?

UCB is a non-commercial broadcaster,  so we don't have paid-for advertising on radio or TV. However we do promote other charities and ministries through radio interviews and longer-term partnerships.  To request an interview or explore the idea of a partnership, email us at broadcasting@ucb.co.uk.

Why am I getting a Javascript error when I try and set up an account using the preference centre?

To enable the preference centre menus to operate and ensure security within the system, the UCB preference centre requires the use of the Javascript browser plugin. Generally this should be defaulted to 'on' in your browser but occasionally it won't be or you may have disabled it. In order to process your account sign-up we need you to enable the Javascript function in your browser yourself.

We have found a very helpful webiste with some straight forward instructions for the most of the popular browsers here

I'm struggling with the Preference Centre, can you just set up my account for me?

For personal data and security reasons we cannot setup a preference centre account for you, you may still phone us to request resources and set your mailing preferences over the phone but this will, unfortuanley, not enable us to grant you digital access to control your own preferences - in order to do that you will need to visit the preference centre and create your own personal account. If you experience Javascript issues, please see the FAQ above!
