TODAY'S WORD 4U 2DAY

SATAN IS DEFEATED (4)

Colossians 2:15

If you’ve ever asked ‘Who am I?’ then being a Christian should answer that question for you. You are a son or daughter of the Most High God. And you were made in the image of God. satan’s jealous and would love to dupe you of your identity and drag you down to his level.

It’s better than anything else religion has to offer. When you accept Jesus into your life, not only does God rescue you from darkness but He calls you his own. You’ll discover who you are and how you’re meant to live your life. With Jesus, you can even do greater things than Jesus did! (John 14:12.)

See what Jesus told the disciples about their status in Luke 10: 17-20 (NLT), when they returned from a mission trip buzzing with excitement: ‘“Lord, even the demons obey us when we use your name!” “Yes,” He told them, “I saw satan fall from heaven like lightning! Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you. But don’t rejoice because evil spirits obey you; rejoice because your names are registered in heaven”’

When you know who you are ‘in Christ’ (read Ephesians 2:4-7), satan’s no match – he’ll be scared of you!

What now?

Read Ephesians 1:3–8. Think: how many of those truths are what you’ve done, and how many are what God’s done?
