TODAY'S WORD 4U 2DAY

REMEMBER WHO HE IS AND WHO HE’S NOT!

PSALM 103:4

‘[He] redeems your life from destruction…’            PSALM 103:4 NKJV

If you were asked to think of someone who had really let you down or broken a promise, sadly, you could probably think of more than one person. Maybe even people in your family. Turn the tables and you know that you could probably be accused of the same at some point in your life, too. Good news: God’s not like us. The point of the covenant He’s made with us (the one that’s constantly being talked about in the Bible) is that He won’t ever leave you hanging, and He won’t ever break His promises. That’s the case no matter how you feel – God loves you just as much when you wake up content and at ease, when you can’t sleep for guilt, and when you’re living your life entirely on fire for Him. That’s the case whoever has a pop at you, whatever situations hit you like a double-decker, or whatever seemingly-shaming mistakes you may make. Even when you are in the thick of all that feels wrong in your life, God is working all things in it for good.

He says He does that for all who love Him and are called by Him. Even when you don’t realise He’s doing it, He ‘redeems your life from destruction…’ Have a think to all the doors that have shut on you in past, even those that you desperately wanted to fly open. Know this. God doesn’t keep the best from His kids. It’s against His nature as your heavenly Dad. But He may keep you from what you think is your best. He wants His perfect way in your life. That’s God’s agenda.

What now?

Find ten promises of God in the Bible and speak them out over your life as a prayer.

Luke 15:11-32 , 1 Sam 17:4-51
