spacerVision and Mission

God is moving His people to pray like never before. Prayer Week has grown from the grass roots upwards. It began over eight years ago with just two churches in North Wales. Now it encompasses thousands of churches based throughout the UK and more than 70 other nations.

Prayer Week Vision Statement
Christian standing with Christian.
Church standing with Church.
Nation standing with Nation.

Prayer Week Objectives
To see churches of all denominations join together for a week of prayer across nations.
To bring about unity.
To encourage and uplift the body of Christ.
To bring teaching on prayer and make it a focus for at least a week every year.
To see people enthused and released into prayer in their own town, region and nation.

Prayer Week Mission Statement
To commit as individuals to pray throughout the week.
To make the week a 'prayer week' for churches or fellowships, so that as many churches as possible throughout the world, are praying together with a similar purpose.
To come together to pray in a way that is comfortable and relevant for them.
To re-focus on teaching about prayer.

The key to this week of prayer is to see a church not only commit to pray, but stand with another church or churches in their area, to find common ground. To worship, pray and encourage each other.

Prayer Week scripture base:

"Then Elijah said to all the people, "Come here to me." They came to him, and he repaired the altar of the Lord, which was in ruins. Elijah took twelve stones, one for each of the tribes...' With the stones he built an altar in the name of the Lord" - 1 Kings 18:30-32 NIV

"Then the fire of the Lord fell..." - 1 Kings 18:38 NIV
