How do I get the UCB Player app?

You can download the UCB Player app in the Apple App Store, the Google Play Store and the Amazon App Store.

How much does it cost?

The UCB Player app is completely free. UCB will not charge you for downloading or using the app. However, if you access the app over a mobile network, your carrier may charge you for the amount of data you use. If you are unsure how much data costs on your tariff, please contact your mobile network operator.

How do I remove the UCB Player iPhone app?

To delete UCB Player from your iOS device, first press and hold on the UCB app icon on the iPhone home screen until the icons 'wiggle'. Then tap on the 'x' symbol in the upper-left corner of the icon to delete the entire app from your mobile device.

How do I remove the UCB Player Android/Amazon app?

To delete UCB Player from your Android device, first press and hold on the UCB app icon in your app drawer and drag it to 'Uninstall'. Alternatively, got to 'Settings' > 'Apps' > select UCB Player > select 'Uninstall'.

On what devices is it available?

The UCB Player iOS app is currently available on the Apple iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad.

The UCB Player Android app is currently available on most Android devices version 4.0.3 and up.

The UCB Player Amazon app is currently available on Kindle Fire devices and other Android devices version 4.0.3 and up.

Will the UCB Player app be updated?

Any changes or improvements to the features of the app will be made available as free updates through your relevant app store.

Do I need internet access for the UCB Player app?

UCB streams video and audio to the device so they will only work whenever you have a working internet connection. This is available on wifi or on 3G/4G. Please be aware that data charges might apply from your service provider.

Why isn't the audio/video playing in my UCB Player app?

If the audio or video doesn't play, first check you have an active wifi or 3G/4G connection. You must be connected to the internet to listen to UCB radio or TV. Secondly, try closing the app and restarting your device. If you are still having problems, uninstall the app, restart your device and reinstall the app. If that still doesn't work, please email appsupport@ucb.co.uk to report the issue.

Can I still use old UCB apps?

You can no longer download previous UCB apps, however if they are installed on your device they should continue to function. However the apps will no longer be supported and features may stop working as services change. We'd always recommend using our latest apps and signing up for our email updates about new features and products we launch in the future.

Can I use UCB Player on other devices?

Although we currently only have dedicated apps for iOS, Android and Amazon, you can access UCB Player through your computer or other internet connected devices via the UCB website at UCB.co.uk/player
